U.S. media outlets reported on the 10th (local time) that multiple U.S. military aircraft were damaged after Iran launched a missile attack on a U.S. Air Force base in Jordan.

U.S. CBS News, citing sources familiar with the matter, reported that approximately eight F-15 fighter jets sustained minor damage during Iran's airstrike on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base between the night of the 8th and the early hours of the 9th, local time, but have since been returned to operations.

According to the sources, an A-10 Thunderbolt (commonly known as the Warthog) attack aircraft was also struck by a missile, resulting in the loss of one of its wings.

No U.S. military casualties were reported from the strike on the base.

Another senior U.S. official confirmed the same details to Fox News.

However, the official stated, "Iran's attack was ineffective against the integrated air and missile defense system."

U.S. forces stationed in Jordan reportedly fired more than 30 Patriot interceptor missiles in response to the Iranian attack.

Earlier, the Iranian military struck the U.S. base in Jordan in retaliation for U.S. attacks on its oil tankers on the 9th.

According to the Associated Press, Jordanian military authorities stated that 18 out of 20 Iranian ballistic missiles were intercepted by air defense systems, while the remaining two landed in sparsely populated areas, resulting in no reported casualties.
