A man in his 30s has been arrested by police on suspicion of fatally beating a man in his 50s at a bar in Itaewon, Seoul.

The Seoul Yongsan Police Station is currently investigating the suspect, a man in his 30s identified as A, on charges of assault resulting in death.

A is accused of assaulting and killing the victim in his 50s at a bar in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, yesterday (September 9).

A bar employee discovered the fallen victim around 6:47 a.m. today and reported the incident to emergency services (119).

Fire authorities confirmed that the man was already dead upon arrival and handed the case over to the police.

Following a pursuit, police urgently arrested A at around 10 a.m.

Police are currently working to determine the exact cause of death while investigating A regarding the specific details of the crime and his relationship with the victim.
