It has been confirmed that singer and actor Kim Min-jong has dropped the criminal complaint he filed against MC Mong.

The Seoul Jongno Police Station announced that Kim canceled the complaint he filed against MC Mong for defamation under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc., yesterday (the 9th).

During a live broadcast last May, MC Mong claimed that an illegal gambling gathering involving celebrities existed and pointed to Kim Min-jong as one of them.

Kim Min-jong immediately and strongly denied the allegation and filed a police complaint against MC Mong on the 1st.

Four months after raising the suspicion, on the 5th, MC Mong met Kim Min-jong in person to apologize and admitted his mistake through a live broadcast as well.

It was understood that Kim Min-jong's side accepted MC Mong's apology and dropped the complaint.

Through an official statement, Kim Min-jong explained the background behind dropping the complaint, saying, "I thought it was necessary to give another chance to someone who acknowledges their mistake and apologizes."
