"Doctor X: The Age of the White Mafia" is gearing up to continue SBS's undefeated streak of satisfying hit shows.

Premiering on Friday, October 9 at 9:50 p.m. KST, the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Doctor X: The Age of the White Mafia" (written by Pyeon Seung-geun, directed by Lee Jung-rim) is a satisfying medical noir that follows the exploits of Doctor X Gye Su-jeong (played by Kim Ji-won), a "mad dog in the operating room" with uncompromised, genius surgical skills who shatters massive absurdities.

SBS has built an unrivaled, satisfying universe, starting with the "Taxi Driver" series, which delivered catharsis through the bold premise of private revenge agency services and thrilling action; "The Fiery Priest", a comedic action show where a priest and a detective team up to wipe out evil; "The Judge from Hell", a satisfying fantasy action series where a demon possessing a judge punishes sinners in the human world; and most recently "Agent Kim Reactivated", a revenge action show that sparked a syndrome by recording a staggering viewership rating of 23%.

"Doctor X" is the first medical noir genre presented by SBS, heralding the birth of a medical dark hero who stands against the "White Mafia," the power hiding behind white coats.

The fierce power struggles unfolding at Guseo University Hospital where corruption runs rampant, the unstoppable moves of the dark hero genius doctor Gye Su-jeong fighting back with her skills, and a salvation narrative capturing the sincerity of saving lives will densely fill the drama's story. In addition, highly immersive surgery sequences created by Gye Su-jeong's flawless surgical techniques are expected to deliver intense catharsis and thrills unlike anything viewers have experienced before.

Director Lee Jung-rim of "VIP" and "Revenant" has teamed up with writer Pyeon Seung-geun for this project, and actor Kim Ji-won takes on a bold transformation as the genius doctor Gye Su-jeong, proving the power of a box-office queen. They will be joined by a powerful cast including Lee Jung-eun (as Jang Hee-sook), Son Hyun-joo (as Bu Seung-kwon), and Kim Woo-seok (as Park Tae-kyung), delivering overwhelming acting synergy.
