A man has died after being trapped between a container and a truck at a container yard in Incheon.

At around 1:40 p.m. today (September 9), a man in his 70s working on container transport at a yard in Hang-dong 7-ga, Jemulpo-gu, Incheon, was caught between a container and a truck.

The man was transported to the hospital in a state of cardiac arrest, but ultimately passed away.

Authorities found that the accident occurred while a yard crane was lifting a container.

Police believe the accident happened because the locking device securing the container would not release, and they are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.

Police also plan to investigate the yard operator and other relevant parties to determine whether safety regulations were followed.
