The film 'Hanran' has been produced in a barrier-free version.

The Barrier-Free Films Committee announced that it recently conducted audio description recording for the barrier-free version of 'Hanran' in August at the Seoul Business Agency (SBA) Media Content Center, directed by Ha Myung-mi and narrated by actor Park Hae-soo.

'Hanran' is a film set in Jeju in 1948, depicting the journey of a mother, Ah-jin (Kim Hyang-gi), and her six-year-old daughter, Hae-saeng (Kim Min-chae), who get separated while fleeing to Mt. Hallasan to escape subjugation troops as they search for each other. It is the second feature film by director Ha Myung-mi, who made her feature directorial debut with 'Her Hobby'.

Director Ha Myung-mi, who participated in a barrier-free version for the first time, shared her thoughts, saying, "Making the film 'Hanran' was about listening to voices hidden in prolonged silence, following the traces of erased lives, and becoming a witness standing by their side. Breaking down the long silence and tearing down barriers to appreciation through the barrier-free version are interconnected, making this work even more precious. I believe that the message of 'Hanran' will spread further through writer Seo Su-yeon's delicate audio description and actor Park Hae-soo's calm and deep voice. I hope that the journey of Ah-jin and Hae-saeng, who wanted to survive on Mt. Hallasan on that day in 1948, will cross all barriers and reach the hearts of more audiences."

Park Hae-soo also participated in a barrier-free narration for the first time. Park expressed his thoughts, saying, "I would like to thank the director and actors for creating such a wonderful and deep work called 'Hanran.' I hope this work is conveyed adequately to more people through my voice. It was an honor to participate." Director Ha Myung-mi and actor Park Hae-soo added meaning to the project by participating in the barrier-free version of 'Hanran' through talent donation.

The barrier-free version of 'Hanran' received production support from Barrier-Free Jeju, with post-production supported by the Seoul Business Agency Media Content Center.
