Kim Hye-soo's Warm Heart Revealed: Jo Kwon Expresses Gratitude for Financial Help During Parents' Cancer Battles

Singer and musical actor Jo Kwon opened up about how grateful he is to senior actor Kim Hye-soo.

Appearing as a guest on a recently released YouTube channel show, Jo Kwon shared, "During my military service, it was a really difficult time because my mother was diagnosed with melanoma and had to have her toe amputated, and my father was also diagnosed with colon cancer." He added, "As an only child serving in the military, I couldn't do anything. Kim Hye-soo sunbaenim found out about the whole situation and told me, 'Kwon, don't worry about money, just don't get sick and finish your service in good health,' providing me with huge help during such a tough time."

Jo Kwon first built a connection with Kim Hye-soo through the past KBS drama "The Queen of Office". Since then, Kim Hye-soo has reportedly shown up to almost every musical performance of his to cheer him on. Jo Kwon shared that Kim Hye-soo particularly appreciates his bold moves in challenging various genres.

He mentioned that in the musical "Priscilla", there is a scene where he descends from the air on a wire, and Kim Hye-soo especially loved this part, returning to watch the same show three or four times.

Jo Kwon also shared that whenever Kim Hye-soo came to watch, she never forgot to leave him with an affectionate remark, saying, "Honey, you did so well."

In response, Jo Hye-ryeon also remarked, "Hye-soo is truly loyal." Jo Hye-ryeon also met Kim Hye-soo through the drama "Match" and has remained close friends with her since. Jo Hye-ryeon brought laughter by sharing, "Kim Hye-soo used to send me women's underwear often. It was the kind that fastens in the front, which was fascinating."

Upon hearing how Kim Hye-soo attentively looked after Jo Kwon when he was struggling with his parents' cancer battles, Jo Hye-ryeon sympathized by saying, "We are able to endure because there are seniors and colleagues who care for us like that." She created a heartwarming atmosphere by adding, "Senior Lee Kyung-sil also helped Jung Sun-hee when she was going through a hard time. Being able to be a source of strength for each other during difficult times like this is such a good thing."
