The 15th Swedish Film Festival kicks off today at 1:30 p.m. with an opening ceremony at Arthouse Momo, running through September 20 across major theaters in four cities nationwide, including Seoul, Busan, Incheon, and Daegu.

Key figures attending the opening ceremony include Karl-Olof Andersson, Swedish Ambassador to South Korea; Lee Sang-gyun, President of the Korea-Sweden Culture and Arts Association; Director Andreas Öhman of the opening film 'Seven Steps'; Director Angelica Lübke of 'The Wonderful Years'; and Emil Wiklund, CEO of the Swedish production company Unlimited Stories.

The opening film, Director Andreas Öhman's 'Seven Steps', is a romantic mystery thriller shot in locations such as Seoul with support from the Seoul Film Commission. Following the screening, a GV (guest visit) session hosted by Cine21 Editor-in-Chief Song Kyung-won is scheduled to take place.

Director Angelica Lübke will meet audiences in Seoul and Busan with her debut feature documentary, 'The Wonderful Years'. The film was invited to the Tiger Competition section of the International Film Festival Rotterdam and won the Special Jury Prize.

In addition, Director Lisa Langseth's new film 'Dance Club' will be screened, with the director greeting audiences through a special interview video. Swedish production representatives, including Unlimited Stories CEO Emil Wiklund and Art & Bob CEO Janka Hodan Söder, are also visiting South Korea to hold meetings with local production companies.
