Singer Eru, who returned to the entertainment industry after causing controversy over drunk driving, has celebrated his 21st debut anniversary.

On September 7, Eru shared a message of gratitude to his fans on his social media, writing, "September 7, 2026 marks already my 21st debut anniversary. Time flies so fast. As I grow older, my feelings of regret and apology only seem to grow. I am simply grateful to the many people who continue to support and encourage me until the end. I will work even harder in the future to repay that love. Thank you."

Eru made his return last July, marking four years since he faced backlash over drunk driving.

Previously, in September 2022, Eru crashed his car into a guardrail while driving under the influence, crossed the road to hit the central guardrail, and caused his vehicle to overturn. At the time, he also faced charges of attempting a cover-up by falsely claiming that a passenger was the one driving. In March 2024, the appellate court upheld the original ruling of six months in prison suspended for one year, stating, "The defendant is reflecting on his wrongdoing and has confessed to all charges."
