Kang Su-yeon, who appeared as Jeong-suk of Season 15 on SBS Plus and ENA's dating show "I Am Solo," has addressed suspicions of fabrication that arose after she appeared on a couple's counseling variety show just three months into her marriage.

On the 7th, Jeong-suk spoke on her YouTube channel "Lucy Inside," saying, "I received a lot of questions about why a newlywed couple would go on such a show, and it is true that we fought a lot. There were countless arguments as we adjusted to living together, and I felt that I wanted to get counseling from someone else." She added, "I admitted that I had a bit of a heavy drinking problem, and that was often the cause of our fights."

On KBS Joy's program "Fate and Karma" aired on the 2nd, Kang revealed her marital crisis, showing behaviors that worried her spouse, such as excessive drinking despite being newlyweds and meeting male friends until late hours. However, consecutive criticisms followed, pointing out that scenes such as her holding a liquor bottle and dancing in front of her husband or engaging in a war of words with him looked artificial.

In response, Jeong-suk emphasized, "Unlike 'I Am Solo,' it is not a 100% observational broadcast and there are some reenactments. However, it is based on real-life events and is not fabricated. In particular, the part where a shaman appeared and spoke was real. I was also amazed. Actually, I had a phone fortune-telling session with that person five years ago, and back then they also gave me harsh advice. Meeting again like this and hearing similar advice made me feel it was destiny."

Previously, after facing controversy early last year over suspicions of "rebound dating" (overlapping relationships) involving her then-fiancé Park Sang-jun, Jeong-suk proceeded with their wedding as planned. She subsequently stated her intention to face the controversy head-on by revealing her husband's face.

In addition, regarding criticisms about a Catholic believer appearing on a shamanistic couple's counseling variety show, Jeong-suk shared her changed attitude, saying, "I think shamanism is also a culture. I offered a prayer of apology to God through prayer." She added, "After the broadcast, I also apologized to my husband and significantly cut back on my drinking problem. Since then, there has never been a single issue caused by alcohol."
