Lee Jung-hoo of the San Francisco Giants in Major League Baseball (MLB) has extended his hitting streak to two consecutive games.

Starting as the fifth batter and right fielder in a home game against the St. Louis Cardinals of the MLB regular season held at Oracle Park in San Francisco, California on the 8th (KST), Lee recorded one hit and one walk in four at-bats.

His season batting average held steady at .280 (140 hits in 500 at-bats).

Lee struggled against St. Louis starting right-handed pitcher Michael McGreevy.

In the bottom of the first inning with two outs and a runner on second and a 1-0 lead, Lee grounded out to second base. In the bottom of the third with two outs and runners on first and second, he flied out to center field, failing to capitalize on a scoring opportunity.

He came up as the leadoff hitter in the bottom of the sixth and flied out to left field.

He produced a hit in the bottom of the ninth inning with the game tied 3-3 against the opponent's third pitcher, Ryne Stanek.

On a 1-1 count, he pushed the third pitch—a high and away four-seam fastball clocked at 154.2 km/h—for a single to left field over the head of the third baseman.

Following a single to left by Shay Whitcomb, who played for the South Korean national team in the 2026 World Baseball Classic (WBC), and a walk by Christian Koss, Lee advanced to third base but did not score.

In his final plate appearance during the bottom of the tenth inning with two outs and runners on second and third in a 4-4 tie, he was intentionally walked.

The Giants secured a 5-4 victory in the bottom of the eleventh inning with one out and a runner on third when Whitcomb hit a high-bouncing walk-off infield single toward shortstop.

With a record of 60 wins and 85 losses and a winning percentage of .414, they maintained fourth place in the National League (NL) West.
