Regarding the nominees for Minister of Justice Kim Seung-won and Minister of Gender Equality and Family Yong Hye-in, who are embroiled in various controversies, Cheong Wa Dae has repeatedly reaffirmed its stance that they must undergo confirmation hearings. Democratic Party leader Kim Min-seok stated that some media reports claiming he conveyed negative public opinion regarding nominee Yong are not true.

Regarding the controversies following the nomination of the ministerial candidates, an official from Cheong Wa Dae stated, "We understand that the confirmation hearing system itself is a process of public verification for nominees," adding, "Since they are nominees selected through the personnel system under the responsibility of the chairperson of the Personnel Recommendation Committee, they must go through the confirmation hearings."

This is interpreted as maintaining a principled stance to wait and see through the confirmation hearings, even as various suspicions have been raised and negative public sentiment has surfaced regarding Justice Minister nominee Kim Seung-won and Gender Equality and Family Minister nominee Yong Hye-in.

The Cheong Wa Dae official also mentioned, "We will equip and strengthen the personnel verification system so that it leaves nothing to be desired in the eyes of the public."

However, regarding some media reports claiming that the Democratic Party leadership conveyed an opinion of unsuitability regarding nominee Yong Hye-in to Cheong Wa Dae, the official stated, "Nothing has been specifically confirmed."

Democratic Party leader Kim Min-seok also appeared on the party's YouTube channel, Minjoo TV, and completely denied such reports.
