It has been confirmed that four building inclinometers were installed on the 17th at Yojin Y-City in Baekseok-dong, Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province, where cracks and sinkholes have recently occurred repeatedly on nearby roads. According to the "Situation Report Regarding the Road Subsidence Accident Near the Baekseok-dong Yojin Commercial Facility Construction Site" obtained by SBS Videomug News Catcher, four building inclinometers to measure the tilt of the building were installed on the 17th at the 59-story high-rise mixed-use residential complex, Yojin Y-City, and are currently in the stage of "measuring initial values." Additionally, according to the report, the results of "monitoring the accident road" assessed groundwater levels, subsurface inclination, and surface settlement degrees as "stable." However, comprehensive safety diagnosis results for the accident site are expected to be released around the middle of next week, following the completion of the joint investigation by the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology.

Around Ilsan Yojin Y-City, a high-rise mixed-use residential complex reaching 230 meters in height, cracks and sinkholes have occurred in succession three times recently. The first accident happened on the 6th. While a sidewalk located about 200 meters west of Yojin Y-City subsided, a 30-meter crack formed on the adjacent roadway. Subsequently, on the 14th, a 150-meter section of road subsided and cracks also occurred at a point 200 meters northwest of Yojin Y-City. Not long after, on the 22nd, cracks occurred once again at the first accident site, resulting in three sinkhole and crack incidents within a span of about half a month.

The first accident was estimated to have occurred due to water leakage during the excavation process at the commercial building construction site next to the Yojin Y-City mixed-use residential complex. The second accident was known to have been caused by a water leak during reinforcement work following the first accident. The third accident was estimated to be an increase in the width of the cracks that occurred at the time of the first accident. Regarding the three sinkholes and cracks that occurred within half a month, some citizens have shown an indifferent attitude, while other citizens are expressing anxiety.
