Actor Choi Minsik recently shared that his recent weight loss is the result of continuous effort and a strict diet.
Meeting reporters on the afternoon of September 7 in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, for an interview commemorating the release of the film "The Intern," Choi Minsik opened up about his weight loss, saying, "Haven't I shown a heavier side of myself quite a bit? Actually, I lost weight more for my health than for a project."
He continued, "Concerns arose regarding my health, so I made up my mind and lost the weight this time. Someone even asked if I took Wegovy, but absolutely not. Nothing in this world comes for free. It is the result of relentless effort and a strict diet. The body is honest. With the money to buy that and take it, I would rather buy some good drinks," he joked.

Choi Minsik is returning to the screen with "The Intern" about two years after the 10-million-viewer hit "Exhuma." "The Intern" is an office life story that transcends generations and ranks, beginning when Ki-ho, a silver intern with 37 years of experience, joins the company of Seon-woo, who rapidly emerged as a dark horse in the fashion world three years after its launch.
It is a remake of the 2015 Hollywood film of the same name that achieved global box office success. Choi Minsik took on the role of silver intern Ki-ho, while Han So-hee played the young CEO Seon-woo, showcasing their chemistry on screen.
The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on September 16.
