[Anchor] It has been reported that allegations have been raised in Jeju that some foreign tourists are deliberately boarding buses without paying their fares by playing dumb.

[Reporter] A person identified as A, who was traveling in Jeju with their daughter, posted on social media that they witnessed an absurd scene after boarding a bus at the airport.

According to the post, whenever some foreign passengers speaking Chinese tagged their transit cards, an announcement of "insufficient balance" played.

However, because communication with the driver did not go smoothly, there were cases where they ended up boarding without paying the fare.

A initially thought nothing of it, but as similar situations repeated, they said they even began to wonder if they were intentionally riding without topping up their cards.

As this post spread, reactions followed such as "I saw something similar on a Seoul bus too" and "Foreigners should also be properly guided and charged the fare."
