A pedestrian in his 80s has died after being struck by a truck on a road in Yangyang, Gangwon Province.

According to the Yangyang Fire Station in Gangwon Province, the accident occurred at around 7:40 p.m. yesterday (September 7) on a road in Jeongam-ri, Ganghyeon-myeon, Yangyang-gun, when a truck driven by a man in his 50s hit an 80-year-old male pedestrian identified as A.

As a result of the accident, pedestrian A was transported to a hospital in a state of cardiac arrest and ultimately passed away.

Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the accident.
