A frozen body has been found inside the freezer of a large cafe in Paju, Gyeonggi Province. The victim, a woman in her 60s who was reported missing in the early hours of that day, was found, and the cafe owner has been arrested and is under investigation.

This is a large cafe located in Munsan-eup, Paju, Gyeonggi Province.

After receiving a report of a missing woman in her 60s in the early hours of the 4th, police tracked her mobile phone's location to this site and discovered the woman inside the freezer.

At the time of discovery, she was already dead, and her body was reportedly frozen.

The cafe was built by remodeling a warehouse.

Currently, a closure notice is posted on the door, and the entrance is tightly locked.

Police identified the cafe owner, a man in his 30s surnamed A who was with the deceased woman on the day she went missing, as a suspect and apprehended him in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, that same afternoon.

Police arrested A on charges of luring and murdering the woman in her 60s, and stated that they are investigating whether she was abandoned in the freezer after being killed or locked inside the warehouse to die.

While proceeding with an autopsy on the deceased woman, police are reportedly questioning A regarding his motive and the existence of any accomplices.

Tens of billions of won worth of counterfeit department store gift certificates were also reportedly found inside the freezer.

Police are investigating whether the gift certificates are related to how the two individuals came to meet.

The cafe, which is popular enough to draw customers from outside Paju, announced a temporary closure via an online notice on the 3rd, stating, "We will resume normal operations from the 4th," but operations are currently suspended.
