Canada's largest city, Toronto, has been struck by a record-breaking storm. Torrents of heavy rain reduced visibility to nearly zero, accompanied by strong winds and hail, instantly plunging the once-peaceful city into chaos.

Parts of the city were flooded, and massive power outages occurred. At one point, electricity was cut off to about 65,000 locations in Toronto, bringing city functions to a near standstill. Damage from high winds also piled up. In high-rise buildings, exterior scaffolding swayed violently in the strong winds, putting workers in grave danger.

During the storm, calls flooded into fire stations, marking the second-highest number of emergency calls in Toronto fire history. We captured the disaster scene in Toronto, described as a "once-in-a-century storm."
