Police have launched an investigation after the body of a woman in her 60s was discovered inside the freezer of a large cafe in Munsan-eup, Paju, Gyeonggi Province.

According to the Paju Police Station in Gyeonggi Province, a report regarding the disappearance of a woman in her 60s, designated as A, was received at around 12:00 a.m. on the 4th.

Using mobile phone location tracking, police discovered the body of woman A inside the freezer of a large cafe in Munsan-eup, Paju, Gyeonggi Province, at around 2:30 p.m. on the same day, 14 hours after the report.

Immediately after finding the body, police identified a man in his 30s, designated as B, who operates the cafe, as a suspect and emergency arrested him.

It was reported that man B is a gift certificate seller and had intended to sell gift certificates to woman A.

Police believe that man B confined woman A in the freezer before killing her, and are currently investigating the exact circumstances and motive for the crime.

Police applied charges of murder and abandonment of a body against man B and requested an arrest warrant the day before yesterday, and the court issued the arrest warrant for man B yesterday.
