Baengno means "white dew."

The name originates from the phenomenon where temperatures drop at night, causing dew to form on grass leaves.

As such, a cool autumn breeze can now be felt in the mornings and evenings.

However, it is still hot during the day.

The daytime high is expected to reach 29°C (84°F) in Seoul and 31°C (88°F) in Suncheon.

With the wide temperature swings, you will need to take good care of your health during this seasonal transition.

Meanwhile, Typhoon Krolsa has weakened into a tropical depression.

Due to this influence, high waves will occur in the seas off Jeju, the southern seas, and the East Sea.

Vessels navigating or operating in these areas should exercise caution against safety accidents.

Skies nationwide will be mostly clear today.

The ultraviolet index will rise to high or very high levels in parts of the country.

When going out, you should take care to block UV rays using parasols or hats.

Rain is expected to begin again in the east coast region late tomorrow afternoon and will continue for a long time until Wednesday afternoon.
