Actor Baek Jin-hee (36) is getting married.
Her agency, Management AM9, announced, "Baek Jin-hee will hold her wedding ceremony with her older fiancé-to-be on January 23 next year." The wedding will be held privately at a hotel in Seoul, attended only by family members.
The groom-to-be is an office worker older than her living in Canada. The two met while Baek was on a language study program in Canada last year, developed into a romantic relationship, and are now tying the knot after a long-distance romance.
Following her marriage, Baek plans to split her newlywed life between Korea and Canada. She will also continue her acting career after marriage.
Debuting in the 2008 film "Looking for Elephant", Baek gained immense popularity through the sitcom "High Kick: Revenge of the Short Legged" in 2011. She has since starred in works such as "Pots of Gold", "Empress Ki", "Pride and Prejudice", "My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol", and "Let's Eat 3".
Earlier this year, she delivered a passionate performance as a journalist filled with a sense of justice in the MBC drama "Judge Lee Han-young".
