South Korean national team midfielder Lee Jae-sung, who plays for German professional football club Mainz, has recorded his first assist of the league season.
Starting in the away match against Hamburg for the 2026-2027 Bundesliga Round 2 held at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg, Germany, on the 7th, Lee assisted Phillip Tietz's additional goal in the 38th minute of the second half when his team was leading 3-0.
Tietz received Lee's forward pass and found the back of the net with a left-footed shot from the center of the penalty area.
This marks Lee's first league assist of the season and his second official assist overall, following one against VfB Krieschow in the first round of the DFB-Pokal (German Cup).
Lee was substituted for Otto Ruopp in the 43rd minute of the second half with his team ahead 4-0.
Mainz secured a 5-0 landslide victory by hammering in five goals, starting with Sheraldo Becker's opening and winning goal in the 19th minute of the first half.
Claiming their first win of the season and bringing their record to 1win and 1draw, Mainz moved up to 5th place with 4 points.
