A cargo plane operated by Amazon, the largest e-commerce company in the United States, overran a runway during landing and collided sequentially with vehicles on the 6th (local time).

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced via X that the cargo plane, which landed at Miami International Airport in Florida at 2 p.m. that day, overshot the runway at a high speed, and that it is investigating the exact cause of the accident.

The FAA stated that the Amazon aircraft was a Boeing 767-300 cargo freighter that departed from San Juan International Airport in the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico.

The aircraft veered off the runway and collided with two trucks, according to AP and AFP news agencies, which cited social media footage from the accident scene.

Following the collision, the aircraft burst into flames, and thick black smoke was seen billowing from the area.

All runways at Miami Airport have been closed.

It has not yet been confirmed whether there were any casualties resulting from the accident.
