Yang Hyun-jun, ahead of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, has scored in two consecutive league matches for his club, Scottish side Celtic.

Starting in the away match against St. Mirren for the 6th round of the 2026-2027 Scottish Premiership held at St. Mirren Park in Paisley, Scotland, on the 6th (Korean time), Yang scored the go-ahead goal in the 23rd minute of the second half with the score tied 1-1.

During a counterattack, Yang sprinted rapidly from near the centerline, received a pass from Camilo Duran, and found the back of the net with a right-footed shot from right in front of the penalty area.

Having recorded his first goal of the season in the 5th round against Aberdeen, Yang scored in his second straight game to net a valuable comeback goal for his team, celebrating with the home fans by sliding on his knees across the turf.

Celtic won the match 2-1.

Yang has been selected as a wildcard for the Asian Games national team led by head coach Lee Min-sung.

The first group stage match for Lee Min-sung's squad against Qatar will take place on the 15th.

Celtic, which had fallen behind after conceding the opening goal to St. Mirren forward Nicholas Agrapiotis via a penalty kick in the 22nd minute of the first half, leveled the match in the 6th minute of the second half with a header by Liam Scales following a corner kick by Benjamin Nygren.

Extending their winning streak to five matches since the league opening thanks to Yang's goal, Celtic consolidated their sole lead at the top of the standings with 15 points.
