Today, Saturday (Sept. 5), the clear and cool early autumn weather makes outdoor activities quite manageable.
This morning, the low in Seoul dropped to 19.1°C (66°F), making the air brushing against the cheeks noticeably cool.
However, under the clear skies, temperatures will rise sharply during the day.
Since humidity is not high, the perceived heat won't be too intense, but you should bring a parasol or a hat to block the strong sunlight when heading out.
Influenced easterly winds will bring sporadic rain of less than 5mm to the mountainous areas of Gangwon Province, the northeastern mountainous areas of Gyeongsangbuk-do, and the east coast of Gyeongsangbuk-do, while mountainous areas in Jeju will see up to 30mm of occasional rain.
Strong winds are expected nationwide again today, requiring caution against safety accidents.
In particular, areas under strong wind advisories, mainly the southern coast, the Yeongnam coast, and Jeju, will experience typhoon-class gusts with maximum instantaneous wind speeds exceeding 20 meters per second. Waters will also run very high, so people should refrain from approaching coastal areas.
Daytime highs will reach 27°C (81°F) in Daegu, slightly lower than yesterday.
Rain is expected to continue along the east coast and Jeju for the time being.
