Actor and influencer Yoo Hye-won is set to undergo questioning as a victim regarding a complaint she filed against broadcaster A for spreading so-called "sponsor rumors."

Yoo's legal representative, Law Firm Daeryeon, stated on September 4 that Yoo will appear at the Gangdong Police Station in Seoul at 4:00 PM on September 10 alongside her legal counsel to undergo a victim investigation, and plans to cooperate by briefly sharing her stance on the matter.

Previously, Yoo took legal action against broadcaster A on August 27, and drew attention the next day on August 28 by uploading a photo featuring the phrase "sapigwijung" on her social media. The post also included the quote, "What is unjust may seem to prevail temporarily, but it cannot last long, and ultimately justice will prevail."

Attorney Kim Bum-sik of Law Firm Daeryeon, representing Yoo, stated through an official release, "Even though Yoo Hye-won and broadcaster A do not know each other and have no related connection, we are taking the circumstances under which specific details regarding Yoo's highly private sphere were mentioned very seriously."

He added, "We are closely reviewing the facts regarding the creation and dissemination of the posts in question, and plan to proceed with criminal complaints against broadcaster A as well as claims for damages depending on the outcome."

This controversy began last May when broadcaster A used the "Close Friends only" feature on their social media to upload a post claiming that Yoo received a so-called "sponsor" from a famous singer and producer while she was in a relationship. In response, Yoo's side has stated that the allegations are groundless.

Meanwhile, Yoo was swept up in multiple dating rumors with former BIGBANG member Seungri starting in 2018, and later faced dating rumors with basketball player Huh Ung, though Yoo's side did not release any official statements regarding either case. Yoo gained significant attention last year after appearing on Mnet's "Couple Palace 2."
