Actor Jung Ilwoo made an emergency relief donation on September 2 to support residents and children affected by the devastating flood in Nepal.

According to his agency, Galaxy Corporation, the donation delivered through the international relief and development NGO Good Neighbors will be used entirely for emergency restoration and support for displaced residents in major affected areas such as Nuwakot and Gorkha.

Jung Ilwoo shared his thoughts, saying, "I hope this can be even a small help to the displaced people who have lost their livelihoods due to the sudden disaster, and I hope they can return to their peaceful daily lives as soon as possible." Through this, his name was also added to The Neighbors Club, Good Neighbors' major donor society.

Previously, Jung Ilwoo has quietly continued his charitable deeds for 18 years. In November 2008, he personally carried briquettes on an A-frame carrier to deliver warmth to neighbors facing a harsh winter. In March 2012, while staying in New York, USA for a break, he visited the Korean disabled welfare organization Milal, spent time with disabled children, and quietly handed over a donation. Furthermore, in April 2014 at the time of the Sewol ferry disaster, he donated 30 million won to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association for the grieving bereaved families and victims, and even abruptly canceled his scheduled fan meeting schedule to express sincere condolences.

In June 2017, while serving as a social worker, he donated 20 million won to the Seocho-gu Senior Welfare Center where he was working, contributing to the improvement of elderly welfare and treatment environments. In April 2019, he delivered 20 million won to Hope Bridge for victims of the large-scale wildfires in Goseong and Sokcho, Gangwon Province. In December 2024, while serving as a goodwill ambassador for the Korean Red Cross, he donated all 10 million won in proceeds from a charity bazaar he planned himself to the treatment costs of children with rare and incurable diseases ahead of Christmas. Even during the large-scale wildfire disaster in March 2025, he deposited 20 million won to the Korean Red Cross to help affected residents return to their daily lives.

In particular, Jung Ilwoo's warmth extended beyond borders to future generations across Asia. As a goodwill ambassador for the Korean Red Cross, he visited Jakarta, Indonesia in January 2025, where he conducted educational volunteer work and relief supply support activities for local underprivileged children with Red Cross Youth (RCY) members. Following this, in February 2025, he successfully led a health and hygiene improvement project and youth cultural exchange volunteer work in Vietnam in cooperation with RCY, widely promoting humanitarian values to the world.
