Director Lee Chang-dong will become the first Korean to receive the Valley Award at the Mill Valley Film Festival in the United States next month.
The award honors a director's body of work and cinematic achievements.
The Mill Valley Film Festival, which opens on the 1st of next month, is one of the prestigious film festivals organized by the California Film Institute.
Director Lee's new work "Love That's Possible" has been invited to the Spotlight section, which introduces the latest works of directors who have built unique artistic worlds, ahead of its screening.
Along with this, Director Lee will receive the Valley Award, which celebrates his original cinematic world and achievements as a director.
