At around 4:30 PM today (the 3rd), a 112 emergency call was received reporting that a person appeared to have fallen into a water channel and died in an agricultural waterway in Cheongha-myeon, Gimje-si, Jeonbuk State.

Fire authorities, dispatched in response to a joint response request from the police, pulled a man in his 70s out of the waterway, but he was already dead.

Police believe the man fell into the agricultural waterway while setting up his fishing rod holder and was unable to get out, and they are currently investigating the exact circumstances.
