President Lee Jae-myung emphasized today (Sept. 3) in a congratulatory speech for the 63rd Broadcasting Day ceremony that he will "rationally improve outdated regulations that do not fit the times in order to enhance the competitiveness of the broadcasting industry."
President Lee made the remarks in the address read on his behalf by Senior Presidential Secretary for Public Relations Sung Ki-hong, stating, "The broadcasting industry is facing the task of surviving amidst fierce competition with global media."
President Lee also added, "We will actively support the restoration of broadcasting's public character, innovation, and growth."
