Kim Bo-kyung has secured her second win of the season after claiming victory in a playoff at the 8th Korea Women's Professional Golf (KLPGA) Champions Tour event, which carried a total purse of 70 million won.
Competing at the Ocean Beach Golf & Resort (par 72) in Yeongdeok, North Gyeongsang Province, Kim finished the tournament on the 3rd with a final total of 12-under-par 132, tying with Lee Jung-eun and Moon Ji-young to force a playoff.
During the first playoff hole on the 18th hole (par 5), Kim clinched the title by making a birdie while Lee Jung-eun and Moon Ji-young both parred, taking home the winner's prize of 10.5 million won.
Having previously secured four victories on the KLPGA regular tour, Kim moved to the Champions Tour this year. After winning her very first event of the season in the opening round, she returned to the winner's circle at this tournament to claim her second trophy of the season.
"Having unexpectedly achieved two wins, rather than being greedy for more victories, I want to wrap up the season by consistently showing good performance in the remaining three tournaments," Kim said.
