▲ China's CXMT targets new college graduates for recruitment
China's ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT), which is challenging the global DRAM semiconductor market led by Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, has launched a recruitment drive targeting prospective graduates across university campuses worldwide.
According to Chinese media outlets such as Jiemian News and the Global Times today (the 3rd), CXMT recently announced via social media that it plans to hire more than 180 people, targeting students graduating with bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees from domestic and overseas universities next year.
The recruitment notice stated, "Technologies spanning the entire process from design to manufacturing await you," while also mentioning emerging areas such as "artificial intelligence (AI) computing power and smart vehicles, starting with DRAM."
The job postings provide a glimpse into the fields and demand for new personnel needed by CXMT, with recruitment underway in areas such as electrical circuit design, research and development (R&D) technology, mass production technology, production operations, information technology, and marketing.
In terms of recruitment scale, R&D personnel account for the largest share.
For AI researcher positions, a master's degree or higher is required, with doctoral degree holders given priority, and the job scope includes the localization of electronic design automation (EDA).
Work locations include Hefei in Anhui Province, where the headquarters is located, as well as Beijing, Shanghai, and Xi'an in Shaanxi Province, with Japan also listed as a work location.
Industry analyst Liu Dingding projected, "Although the recruitment scale is modest, high-tech companies such as semiconductor manufacturers rely even more on a small number of top-tier talents for growth," adding, "Talents at overseas work locations will contribute to CXMT's global market competitiveness."
Following its initial public offering (IPO) in July, CXMT instantly soared to the top spot in market capitalization on the mainland stock market, and recently formalized the mass production of LPDDR6, a next-generation mobile DRAM.
