Singer and actor Kim Min-jong has filed a criminal complaint for defamation against MC Mong, who claimed that Kim was part of an illicit celebrity gambling circle.

Last May, MC Mong claimed during a live broadcast that an illicit celebrity gambling group existed and that Kim was a member.

At the time, Kim's agency and representatives strongly denied the allegations, calling them patently false.

On the 1st, Kim filed a complaint with the police against MC Mong on charges of defamation through the dissemination of false information.

Kim's side stated that MC Mong's claims severely damaged the reputation and trust he had built over his 38-year career since his debut.

They reported suffering tangible damages, including the suspension of discussions for a Hollywood project he was specifically negotiating at the time and the halting of talks for two commercial endorsement contracts.

His representatives emphasized that they will hold him accountable to the fullest extent under the law and principles, without any compromise.
