Anthropic's IPO is drawing closer. Having recently begun meeting with prospective investors, Anthropic is reportedly aiming to raise 100 billion dollars through its IPO, with its expected corporate value discussed at up to 2 trillion dollars. In fact, Anthropic's corporate value has surged more than 15-fold in 15 months through recent investment rounds. The basis for Anthropic's confidence lies in its revenue. Anthropic's annualized revenue grew from about 9 billion dollars at the beginning of the year to 65 billion dollars in July, and in AI service spending by U.S. companies, Anthropic also surpassed OpenAI with 43.5%.
However, it is difficult to conclude that this growth trend will continue past the IPO. The actual usage proportion of its top-tier model Fable 5 is low, and the token market share of its affordable open-weight models is rapidly increasing. In addition, community opposition to AI data centers is growing. In this "Oh! Graph", we analyzed Anthropic's IPO expectations, revenue growth, technology and talent strategy, and the risk factors investors should consider together through five graphs.
