The prosecution has indicted four individuals, including former National Police Agency National Office of Investigation Head Park Sung-joo, on charges of ordering the separation of prior stalking and sexual assault cases from a murder investigation during the probe into the "murder of high school girl Jang Yoon-ki," allegedly telling officials to "keep sexual violence quiet."

The Gwangju District Office of the Prosecutors' Press announced today (Sept. 2) that it has indicted Park, along with the former acting head of the Violent Crime Investigation Division, the former head of the Women and Youth Crime Investigation Division, and the former head of the Sexual Violence Crime Investigation Section at the National Office of Investigation, without detention on charges of abuse of authority.
