Actor Ha-young, who became embroiled in controversy over her great-grandfather Ahn Sang-ho's pro-Japanese actions, has decided to step down from the upcoming new season of her next project, "Severe Trauma Center".

Ha-young gained recognition last year by playing nurse Chun Jang-mi in Season 1.

She had been scheduled to appear in the sequel as well, but calls poured in demanding her departure from the upcoming project due to the controversy surrounding her great-grandfather's pro-Japanese history.

Amidst this, a video highlighting Ha-young's appearances in various works was recently uploaded to Netflix Japan's YouTube channel, drawing critical glances from domestic netizens.
