The era when cars can move without a person directly holding the steering wheel is fast approaching.

But can we really trust this technology with peace of mind?

Let's head to Pakistan first.

The driver's seat of the vehicle is completely empty, with only one man sitting in the passenger seat.

Suddenly, however, the vehicle swerves on its own and crashes straight into a police car ahead.

This accident occurred during a demonstration of a remotely controlled vehicle in Islamabad, Pakistan.

The developers explained that the internet connection was lost during the demonstration, making it impossible to control the vehicle externally.

Fortunately, there were no casualties, but had it been in heavy traffic conditions, it could have led to a fatal accident.

More robust safety devices seem necessary before using such technology on actual roads.
