A serial thief targeting the pockets of intoxicated individuals in Seoul was recently apprehended by police.

This is a street in Seoul on July 1.

An intoxicated person is lying on the ground, and a man approaches.

Is he trying to help? No, he isn't.

After looking around for a bit, he eventually takes belongings out of the intoxicated person's pocket.

He then puts them into his own bag and calmly leaves the scene.

Receiving a report, the police launched an investigation and traced the man's movement path backward by analyzing CCTV footage and other evidence.

As it turned out, he had committed crimes using the exact same method against intoxicated people in other locations as well.

After tracking his movements and identifying his residence, the police staked out the area and arrested the man.

When interrogated about the crimes, the man denied them, claiming he "did not remember due to being drunk."

However, he admitted that the physical appearance of the person captured on CCTV matched his own.

Ultimately, he was taken into custody on charges of violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Crimes.
