The rain that had been falling across the central regions has mostly stopped.
Light rain is expected to continue a bit longer in southern Gangwon and parts of the Chungcheong region until this morning (September 2).
A few raindrops may also fall in other parts of the central region.
As relatively cold and dry air moves in behind the rain clouds, a crisp, early autumn breeze will be felt during the mornings and evenings as the week progresses toward the latter half.
Meanwhile, summer air still lingers in the southern regions.
Heatwave advisories remain in effect.
Positioned along the edge of a high-pressure system, the southern regions are also expected to see turbulent, passing showers in some areas this afternoon.
Tropical nights will continue in some areas overnight, centering around the southern regions.
Today's daytime temperatures will exceed 30°C in the southern regions, remaining hot.
From Thursday through the weekend, rain is forecasted to continue for a prolonged period in Gangwon Yeongdong and Jeju due to the influence of easterly winds.
