A fire broke out at a two-story multi-family housing building in Cheongcheon 2-dong, Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, at around 8:07 PM today (Sept. 1).

The fire left one male resident in his 50s dead inside a second-floor apartment, while two other residents evacuated.

Upon receiving the report, fire authorities mobilized about 50 firefighters and roughly 20 pieces of equipment, completely extinguishing the blaze in 25 minutes at around 8:32 PM.

Fire authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire and the property damage.
