The government has decided to expand the supply of holiday staple goods to an all-time high ahead of the Chuseok holiday and launch large-scale discount supports for agricultural, livestock, and fishery products.

During a cabinet meeting held today (the 1st), the government announced its livelihood stabilization measures for Chuseok, revealing plans to supply a total of 183,000 tons of staple goods to the market, including agricultural, forestry, and livestock products such as Chinese cabbage, radishes, apples, pears, beef, and pork, as well as marine products like Alaska pollock and squid.

This volume is 1.6 times the usual level.

In addition, the government will inject a record-breaking 103 billion won to provide discounts of up to 50% on agricultural, livestock, and fishery products, and up to 64% on processed foods such as ramen and bread.
