SBS football variety show "Kick a Goal" is taking on handball for the first time in Korean variety show history.

Airing on Wednesday night, September 2, at 9 PM, "Kick a Goal" will unveil its second sports project, "Kick a Goal - Handball Cup," planned with the full support of the Korea Handball Federation and SK Hynix. Ahead of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, it is expected to spark a new wave in South Korean women's handball, following the women's football boom.

The long-awaited opening match will be a showdown between "Wonder Woman 2026" and "Top Girl Movement." Lee Sang-eun, a real-life star of the movie "Forever the Moment" and "Athens Captain," will take the helm as manager of Wonder Woman 2026, while opposing team Top Girl Movement will feature Park Ha-yan, the ace of "FC National Team Family," making her debut as a manager, setting the stage for a fierce strategic battle.

Players who took on the challenge of handball shared that they were deeply captivated by the fast pace and thrilling action on the court, saying, "It's like the UFC of ball sports. We didn't know handball could be this much fun."

Stepping off the football pitch and onto the handball court, "Kick a Goal"'s new challenge will air on Wednesday night, September 2, at 9 PM.
