In fact, a report points out that despite the implementation of the anti-scalping law last month, tricks and loopholes in scalping transactions continue unabated.

Scalping transactions persisted online, even evolving into clever workarounds.

A post surfaced on a second-hand trading website offering an Americano mobile gift certificate for 660,000 won.

It claimed that a baseball game ticket featuring a male idol as a ceremonial pitcher would be given as a free gift, which seems rather suspicious.

It was a sneaky scalping tactic to sell a baseball ticket with a regular price of 100,000 won at a heavy premium.

Under the anti-scalping law, illegal sellers can face administrative fines of up to 50 times the sales amount.

However, even with these tightened regulations, scalping transactions show no signs of stopping.

This is because it is difficult to crack down on every single online transaction.

Sellers post listings on second-hand trading platforms, find buyers, and then move to separate chat rooms to conduct the transactions.

Once the transaction is complete, they sometimes delete the posts or switch accounts to erase their tracks.

Even so, it is hoped that measures to block even these loophole transactions will be devised so that ticket scalping can disappear as soon as possible.
