In an interview with Fox News, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the U.S. would strike Iran forcefully.

President Trump also blasted Iran on his social media, declaring that Iran is finished and officially a failed state.

After the U.S. attacked an Iranian rocket launcher intended for laying sea mines on the 30th local time, Iran immediately retaliated against a U.S. military base in Jordan. In response, Trump foreshadowed high-intensity retaliation.

At the same time, the U.S. emphasized its intention to intensify economic pressure to isolate Iran.

Attending the G20 Finance Ministers meeting, U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent urged the international community to join the so-called economic pariah strategy.

[Bessent/U.S. Treasury Secretary : Iran's military provocation is because it is losing the economic battle. I want to express my gratitude to the European Union for its active support of the "economic pariah" strategy.]

In response, Iran flaunted its military power and hit back, stating it would not back down from U.S. attacks.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed that it still retains 90 percent of its original missiles and swiftly restored the production facilities that had been targeted by airstrikes.

[Masoud Pezeshkian/Iranian President : We will never stand idly by in the face of aggression, and we will respond firmly to the aggressors.]

As military tensions flared up again in the Middle East, financial markets experienced sharp fluctuations.

Brent crude, the benchmark for international oil prices, rose by over 3 percent to break past 90 dollars again, while all three major New York stock indices dropped, wrapping up the final trading session of August local time.
