The SBS Social Affairs Department reporting team (reporters Lim Chan-jong, Kim Deok-hyun, Jeon Yeon-nam, Shin Yong-il, Son Ki-jun, Ahn Hee-jae, Lim Ji-hyun, and Kim Su-yun), which first and continuously reported on the alleged cover-up of the investigation into the Jang Yoon-ki case, has won the reporting category at the 214th Broadcast Journalist of the Month Awards.

The Korea Broadcast Journalists Association and the Korean Association for Broadcasting & Telecommunication Studies held the awards ceremony today (31st) and stated the reason for the selection: "It stood out for continuously tracking issues capable of inciting public outrage, such as shoddy police investigations and allegations of a cover-up, to reveal the truth, and for driving considerable social ripple effects and influence following the reports."
