Gyeonggi Province announced on August 31 that it will implement the "Good Price Restaurant Additional Discount Support" program from September 1 to December 31. Under this initiative, customers who pay with Gyeonggi local currency at designated "Good Price Restaurants" in the province will receive an additional 5 percent cash back on their payment amount, on top of the existing recharging incentives.

Good Price Restaurants are designated and operated by local city and county governments based on a comprehensive evaluation of hygiene, cleanliness, and prices that are lower than neighboring commercial areas.

As of June of this year, there are 1,722 Good Price Restaurants within the province that are registered as local currency merchants.

Starting next month, if a customer spends 100,000 won at a Good Price Restaurant located in a city or county that provides a 10 percent local currency recharging incentive, they will receive a 10,000 won benefit already received at the recharging stage plus an additional 5,000 won (5 percent of the payment amount) refunded, allowing them to receive up to a 15 percent total benefit level.

However, the actual implementation schedule may vary depending on the local currency operation schedules of each city and county.
