A driver who was struggling to steady his body and sweating profusely on a Seoul road has been apprehended by the police.

This took place on a road in Songpa-gu on July 16.

Police were dispatched after receiving a report that a man who was having trouble keeping his balance was inside a car.

Police asked the man, who had parked his car on the roadside, to get out.

Stepping out of the driver's seat, the man could not stand properly, just as the report stated, and stumbled around.

A breathalyzer test showed that he had not been drinking.

The man explained that he was uncomfortable because he was suffering from gout symptoms.

However, police judged that his condition was unusual, noting that his lips had turned blue, he was sweating, and he kept shaking his head.

Accordingly, they requested an ambulance while also searching the inside of the vehicle with the man's consent.

In the cup holder and other spots, containers holding a suspicious liquid and belongings in the shape of a pipe for inhaling drugs were discovered.

Upon verification, the liquid turned out to be liquid synthetic cannabis, and the man was ultimately arrested after it was confirmed that he had administered cannabis.
