At around 3:55 a.m. today (August 31), a traffic accident occurred near the Seohanam Interchange (IC) on the Seoul Ring Expressway bound for Guri, in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province, when a 7.5-ton cargo truck collided with a 12-ton cargo truck.

The driver of the 7.5otin cargo truck, a man in his 70s, was rescued two hours after the accident and transported to a hospital while receiving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

As it took a long time to tow the cargo trucks, four lanes were blocked, causing severe traffic congestion.

Police are currently investigating the exact cause of the accident.
