A man in his 60s has been arrested by police after allegedly pulling out a hunting rifle and threatening people during a dispute over yielding the right-of-way on a narrow road.

The Gyeonggi Hwaseong Seobu Police Station announced on August 30 that it plans to seek an arrest warrant for a man in his 60s, designated as A, on charges of special intimidation.

A is accused of threatening three individuals, including another driver identified as B, with his hunting rifle after a traffic dispute broke out on a farm road in Manse-gu, Hwaseong-si, at around 8:00 p.m. on August 29.

The incident occurred on a narrow farm road where only one vehicle could pass at a time. The situation required either A or B to back up to let the other pass, according to reports.

During the argument, A took out a hunting rifle from his vehicle, prompting B and the others to overpower A and seize the firearm.

Police responded to the report and arrested A at the scene as the offender caught in the act.

Police investigations revealed that A is a licensed hunter engaged in harmful wildlife capture activities and was carrying the firearm after lawfully checking it out with a possession permit.

A police official stated, "There were about 20 rounds of ammunition in the suspect's hunting rifle, and we are currently verifying whether it was even loaded." The official added, "He is denying the charges, stating that he had no intention of threatening the victims."
