At around 1:10 p.m. today (August 30), a passenger car struck a pedestrian in his 50s walking on a road inside a hotel in Wonam-ri, Toseong-myeon, Goseong-gun, Gangwon Province, before crashing into a building wall.

The accident left two people, including a woman in her 60s who was a passenger in the car, seriously injured, while the driver and three other passengers sustained minor injuries.

Police believe the accident occurred as the driver swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle and are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident by questioning witnesses and others.
